Over the past century, LEEVAC has built a strong reputation as a steel fabrication and US shipyard for providing the highest quality design, construction and repair services in the maritime industry for a wide range of steel-hulled vessels.

Originally founded in 1913, LEEVAC has been under its current ownership since 1965. LEEVAC Industries, LLC, LEEVAC Shipyards, LLC and the newly formed LEEVAC Shipbuilding and Repair Calcasieu, LLC (collectively referred to as "LEEVAC”) is a full-service US shipyard that features state-of-the-art facilities, the latest technology, steel fabrication and highly skilled craftsmen that set us apart from other shipbuilders or maritime construction firms. Over the years our company has designed, fabricated and repaired vessels including, but not limited to, offshore supply vessels (OSV), platform support vessels (PSV), crew boats, supply boats, oilfield specialty and research vessels, inland and oceangoing tug boats and barge vessels – as well as commercial fishing vessels, workboats, casino boats, excursion and passenger vessels. We can also provide specialized vessel repairs for liftboats, dredge boats and more. In addition, LEEVAC has designed and built quarter units (man housing units) as well as drydock projects.

LEEVAC's main new vessel construction facility is located on the Mermentau River approximately five miles east of Jennings, Louisiana. LEEVAC also owns the former site of SBA Shipyards that is located approximately 2.5 miles south of the main yard on the Mermentau River. In September 2010, LEEVAC also opened a vessel repair facility on nine acres, 1,100 feet of bulkhead in deepwater occupied in the Port of Lake Charles LNG plant turning basin.

However, our company's core business is the design and fabrication of offshore supply vessels and offshore platform vessels. We have the capabilities to build these specialized vessels ranging from 160 feet to 300 feet in length, with hull widths from 45 to 60 feet and hull depths up to 26 feet. These vessels are built to international specifications and have been deployed worldwide. Our vessels also meet all safety requirements and regulations including the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), International Maritime Organization (IMO), Bureau Veritas (BV), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), firefighting (FIFI) organizations, the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), and other pertinent regulatory needs. In addition, we have a naval architect on staff to help ensure that all safety and certification requirements are met.

Our company's specific offshore oilfield industry experience ranges from building standard supply boat configuration vessels for well stimulation to remote operated vehicles (ROV), cable reel applications, deployment vessels, dive vessels, lightering support vessels, seismic vessels, anchor handling vessels and towing vessels, among others.
