Jennings, Louisiana 70546 LEEVAC Shipyards Jennings, LLC is a Gulf Coast shipyard in south Louisiana and is situated on a180-acre site on the west bank of the Mermentau River, about five miles east of Jennings, Louisiana. Our shipyard, located just off of old Highway 90, is easily accessible by truck, barge and rail. At LEEVAC the river is 350 feet wide and 60 feet deep.
Heading 25 miles south by water, the Mermentau River intersects the Intracoastal Canal at mile marker 202. The Intracoastal Canal is the main artery of marine transportation on the Gulf Coast and a direct passageway to the Gulf of Mexico and beyond.
